Questions
Straight answers.
What a brain is, when it’s worth it, what it costs to run, what it won’t answer, and how your data is handled.
What a brain is
What is a brain?
An organization's own knowledge, or a person's, built into something that answers people in its owner's words, at any hour. It's grounded in approved sources, and says it doesn't know when something is outside them.
How is it different from a chatbot?
A brain answers the way your best person would, from sources you've approved, and says when a question is outside them. You govern it.
Will people know it isn’t a person?
Yes. It says what it is. That's one of the four conditions of the Locke Standard. The Locke Standard
Can people talk to it face to face?
Yes. A brain can have a face and a voice, so people talk to it the way they'd talk to you. Dr. Muddy's is live on this site.
Can someone build a brain of me without my consent?
No. A brain that represents a person is built only with their written consent to the use of their name, voice and likeness, and they can withdraw it in writing.
When it’s worth it
When is a brain worth it?
When the same important questions reach your best people every week, often outside working hours, and a slow or wrong answer costs you the person asking.
Does it replace my team?
No. We replace tools and functions, never people. Judgment calls, exceptions, advice and anything regulated stay with your team.
What it costs
What does self-serve cost?
Plans and prices are published when self-serve opens. Join the waitlist and we'll email you. Pricing
How is Locke Enterprise priced?
An Onboarding Fee, paid in installments, and a Subscription Fee that starts at go-live. Usage is metered in minutes. We set the figures with you.
Is there a long contract?
No. Enterprise agreements roll monthly, with no fixed term, no minimum commitment and sixty days' notice either way.
What it won’t answer
What won’t it answer?
Anything outside what's been approved. It says so instead of guessing, and when a question belongs to someone else, it points them to the right place.
Can it give legal, financial or medical advice?
No. It explains how your organization works. Advice about someone's own situation stays with your people.
Can it make a booking or a commitment?
No. It answers, and hands the conversation to your team. Commitments stay with people.
Your data
Who owns my brain and my record?
You do. Your record and your brain stay yours.
What goes into it?
Your record: documents, recordings, voice samples, policies and FAQs. With Locke Enterprise, we also gather what's already public about you, and go through every source with you. Each one is approved in the Locke platform before your brain answers from it.
Can I see where an answer came from?
Yes. In the Locke platform, each answer maps to the source it came from.
Where are your Terms and Privacy Policy?
They're in final review, and they'll be published on our Legal page. Legal
